APPLIED SEMICONDUCTOR,
INC. (AS) is the pioneer
in development and use of system offerings with favorable corrosion
protection properties achieved by combination of electrical components with
adapted coatings highly loaded with metal (e.g. Zinc). The company,
established in 1998, controls an exclusive worldwide license and rights to
all patents and proprietary information related to this breakthrough
technology known as Zetan.
Zetan
has commercial uses that include prevention of corrosion of conductive
materials, with applications ranging from construction to the
transportation industry, and prevention of hard marine fouling on vessels,
offshore drilling platforms, and other marine structures. In
addition, future uses for the technology include various biomedical
applications, for which Applied Semiconductor has recently been granted a
patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office, and electronic component
applications, for which patents are now pending.
APPLIED SEMICONDUCTOR
RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY CORP.
(ASRT) was established by Applied
Semiconductor, Inc. for the purpose of furthering both basic and applied
research on Zetan. All
research and development conducted by the company is under the
supervision and review of its Board of Directors, which consists of the
Science Advisory Board.
APPLIED SEMICONDUCTOR
INTERNATIONAL LTD. (ASI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Applied Semiconductor, Inc. with its
office in Jonen,
Switzerland. ASI is responsible for the worldwide marketing and distribution of
Zetan in all territories except the United States of America.
The company also manufactures and holds the patents and patent applications
for the Zetan Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and control
software.
