Dieter Engel
President & CEO, Director
Dieter Engel, PhD, joined Applied Semiconductor, Inc. in March 01, 2008 as COO and was appointed President & CEO in November 07, 2008.  He has 27 years of experience with Coatings and Resins industry in leading positions with DuPont Performance Coatings and Hoechst/Herberts.  Before joining Applied Semiconductor, Inc., he was most recently Global Business Director DuPont Specialty Coatings.  In his former assignments Dr. Engel has lead Business and Technology-launches as well as turnaround and restructuring activities.

David B. Dowling
Director
David B. Dowling served as President and CEO of the company from inception until November, 2008.  He is inventor and co-inventor of all Applied Semiconductor patents for Zetaⁿ, its ECU and control software.  Mr. Dowling began his career in the investment industry and was associated with Merrill Lynch, Shearson, and Paine Webber.  He served for many years as economic and financial advisor to several international business groups and their principals.

Willard T. Jackson
Director
Willard T. Jackson served as a Partner of Brundage, Story and Rose, a New York based investment counseling firm, from 1969 until his retirement in 1998.  He is a Graduate of Middlebury College (BA) and Columbia University (MBA) and is a Trustee Emeritus of Middlebury.  Mr. Jackson has served on the boards of many early stage companies.

Robert W. Middleton
Director
Robert W. Middleton is the Managing Director of The Middleton Group, a division of Source Capital Group, Inc., Member FINRA/SIPC.  He has extensive experience in providing investment banking services for development stage companies and has co-founded and served on the boards of many companies, both private and public.  He was an officer, director and New York City branch manager of one member firm of the New York Stock Exchange (Burgess & Leith, Inc.) and a General Partner of another (Fahnestock and Company).  He then served as Managing Director, Corporate Finance for various firms, most recently Gemini Financial Corp., before joining Source Capital.
